Festival contre-temps, 2008 /Starsbourg, France / Photo by Jean-Philippe SennMusic is a part of my life since my birth.
My dad § me use to listen to the German radio at night to hear about news...we were living close to an American army base so we could hear their radio !!!
My father was listening to rock, country § folk music as i was taking myself for a big black mama yelling some Ella in my bedroom. Everytime he was taking me with him to go to the record shop, i was allowed to take one for me. Sometimes it was jazz, sometimes it was soul, sometimes it
was gospel. We were spending our sundays cleaning records, making comp by cutting the analogic bands...our headphones on !!!
It makes me open (even if i don't like country music, sorry) and i'm always interresting in listening some stuff that break all my views in music. But you will see me falling down for a soulful tune. Afro Funk is my religion. Funk makes people happy and sweaty. Disco, late 70's disco is great. Jazz is for the little girl that still sleeps inside me and hip hop made me grow up. but i can jump on some electro, spin my hair on a pure rock wax, get crazy on an 80's stoopid tune...as long as music talk to my mind, my soul or
my body...i'm ready !!!Cavern in da mix, 2007 /Arsenal, Metz, France / Photo by Me
I got my first camera at 5...cos i was always taking my grandfather's one, and it bothered him. I am not a photographer...i'm just a picture taker...but i do make a lot. Maybe one day i will explain you my "relationship" with my camera and with the picture i'm taking, but now it's time to listen and see.
